Lake Davos offers ideal conditions for windsurfing. With its surface area of around 59 hectares and regular thermal winds, it is particularly suitable for beginners and advanced surfers. The wind conditions are often constant in summer, and the lake is a popular destination for wind sports enthusiasts from June to September. You can either rent equipment at the surf center or book a course directly.

Kitesurfing is a challenging and exciting sport on Lake Davos. The lake's location at over 1,500 meters above sea level and the reliable thermal winds in summer create ideal conditions for this sport. Wind conditions are particularly stable from June to September.
Kitesurfing is prohibited during sailing or surfing regattas. Outside of peak season, kitesurfing is permitted all day on Lake Davos. However, during the busy summer holiday period from July 13 to August 16, 2025, kitesurfing is only permitted from 5:00 PM.
Due to the size of the lake and local regulations, kitesurfing is only permitted in certain areas. The launch zone is on the western shore, behind the wakeboarding zone.

Wing foiling and pump foiling are also gaining popularity on Lake Davos. This is not only due to the consistent thermal winds, but also thanks to the ideal local infrastructure. The clear water surface, the reliable wind window, and the surf center's offerings make the lake an attractive spot for foiling fans of all levels. Whether with a wing in a steady breeze or under your own power without any wind – both options offer optimal conditions and plenty of surfing fun on Lake Davos.
